Subject: first day with the beergun
I recently bought a BeerGun and tonight was my first opportunity to
play with it. The first thing I noticed was that every connection needs
to be tightened very well or co2 and beer will spray EVERYWHERE. Yes,
his was the first thing I noticed. :-) A quick towel down of the
kitchen table and I was back to experimenting. I found that about 3# of
pressure in the keg was right for filling bottles and the procedure was
fairly simple and easy.

On the downside this isn't a process you want to use for filling a
growler as you run out the door. The gun has to be cleaned with every
use including disassembly. It recommends iodophore but I used blc as my
test bottle will be drank tomorrow during a brew day.

Right now I think that if a person can plan ahead that natural
carbonation in the bottle is easier but if a person wants to bottle a
small quantity for a contest it seems like a good solution.
