New Brewing Lager Beer by Gregory J. Noonan... This book has everything from basics to a great breakdown on decion mashing...everything... though there is a part at the end where he describes all the equipment... total waste of space... This is my main reference book for ales and especially lagers... Spitz im@it.com wrote: > is there a reccommended text for home lager brewing? > > > cheers > misty

Do you mean batch sparging produces maltier flavor than fly sparging, or at least complete fly sparging? Roger

I just mean I'm seeing some noticable improvements minimizing or eliminating my sparge. Of course, YMMV -- usual cautions apply. -- (Replies: cleanse my address of the Mark of the Beast!) Mr. Wizard even mentions something to that effect in this month's BYO. I agree with them, but it's so subjective that I won't try to convinve anyone of it. ---------- >Denny
