Subject: pop goes the growler

I stepped into the garage this morning to make sure the wiezen a friend
and I made yesterday was fermenting properly. As I rounded the corner of
the fermenting freezer I noticed a brown stain on the garage floor
leading up to and coming out of the serving fridge. My first thought
was, "great, someone closed the cobra tap on the porter in the door."
I was surprised to find the door cracked open though, and when I opened
it the rest of the way I found that a growler on the bottom of the
fridge full of 005 harvested from a batch two months ago had exploded
last night. Hmmm.

Ryan, you story has convinced me to never store yeast under pressure
again. I will always use a growler with an airlock from now on. Thanks
for sharing.
