Subject: neophytical SG reading question

Hello helpful brewing types,
I've had my First Brew Ever in the primary (6.5 gal carboy) for a while,
and I would like to know the best way to avoid oxidization while testing
gravity. Do I have to siphon out a sample to test?

Oh no! multiposting! Sorry! I tried to post through the website
