As I continue to grow and learn the process, I am learning quickly that the yeast really does matter. When I use the yeast that comes in the kits, they all tend to have a very similar taste. I was skeptical in the past, and had to learn the hard way but sometimes that is the best way. I love the NG. Jim

Yep, you can split your wort between two fermenters, pitch different yeasts to each one, and end up with completely different beers. John.

It's the life of the beer; the living part of the beer. > When I use the yeast that comes in the kits, they all tend to have a very= similar taste. I never use kits. Water, 7lbs malt, 2oz hops and yeast. Keeping everything the same but changing the yeast. One day we'll find the yeast, just the right one and from there it's all down hill. > I was skeptical in the past, and had to learn the hard way but sometimes > that is the best way. No doubt, but you might consider that a wise person learns from the mistakes of others. > I love the NG. > Jim You're a true brewer. Best of luck, and Sk=E5l to the Nordmenn Peter
