I'm trying to order stuff for an ale, and I have to have crystal hops. So far, THREE of the online suppliers I've checked don't have them. What gives? Is anyone else having trouble finding them?

This is really aggravating. The single most common reason I end up having to buy from one particular supplier is that they don't have the right hops. The most convenient supplier for me is Dan Listermann, but if you look right now, you'll see he doesn't have crystal hops, which I use in several recipes. So I buy a lot of things from Morebeer.com and Austin Homebrew, which take longer to ship. You'd have to be nuts to order a single ingredient from one supplier and the rest from someone else, because of the huge shipping penalty. So I insist on getting the whole list at one place, or nothing at all. Just ordered two batches of ingredients from Austin. Lefty Skywalker wrote: > I've hidden them. >

Heart's Homebrew carries Crystal (pellets). I haven't used them in a while, but they've been great when I've used them in the past. Good selection and located in Orlando. I generally use Austin Homebrew, but they're pretty close to me. -- (Replies: cleanse my address of the Mark of the Beast!) People don't realize how big Florida is. Orlando is about 240 miles away. There's a place in Ft. Lauderdale, but they do mostly extract, so they're hit and miss. I would have gone there this weekend, but they didn't even have the grain I wanted. The Artist Formerly Known as Kap'n Salty wrote: > Al Fresco wrote: >> This is really aggravating.
