So I have saved up about 100 white labs vials. I have seen the "white lab redemption" form on white labs.com where you can redem them for yeast, glasses, boardgame, yada yada yada... but I was wondering if any of you have found creative things to do with them! I have used them in the past to harvest yeast from a primary, but that is hardly creative. I understand that white labs (i'm sure) likes them back to recycle them as it i'm sure costs them some money to have those made... WHAT DO YOU THINK???!!! What do you do with yours!!!

I doubt it costs them much at all, and they certainly aren't having them "made" for White Labs. They are unblown plastic soda bottles. I use them to give reclaimed yeast to friends. Only seems appropriate. Scott

You definitely need to drink more St. Arnolds! Elissa is my downfall. Maybe a few more folks will get to enjoy some most excellent brew. If we talk about it enough we might get Denny to start longing for some Saint Arnold's Christmas Ale :-) Mark R

You promised to expand into Bellville first! We *finally* convinced the owner of a local package store to carry St. Arnold's. So far, he has only brought in the Brown Ale, Amber Ale, and Krystal. > If we talk about it enough we might get Denny to start longing for some > Saint Arnold's Christmas Ale :-) You mean like those 12 cases I've got stuffed in my cooler? Check with White labs, but last time I turned in my tubes for a free yeast certificate, I just peeled off the label and sent them in an envelope. I recycled the tubes with all my PET #1 bottles at the local recycling center. I don't think they reuse the tubes. Also, the tubes have survived my autoclave (20 min) if you take the cap off and cover them with foil. I keep a few around like that to use for trading yeast cults with friends. Warren Place
