Subject: Waterless airlock?

I saw in someone's catalog a while back a waterless airlock. It was
made of silicone (silicon?). Does anyone know where to get one of
these and has anyone has experience with them?

Not sure if it's what you are referencing, but I've seen gizmos with
two stacked flapper valves in a cylinder. It should work since the
flapper will only open when there is positive pressure. My only
thought is that if you put your wort in a little warmer than ambient
and wait for it to cool before pitching, the valve system wouldn't
allow air to flow back into the fermenter and you could get a pretty
hard vacuum seal.

No experience, but I'm pretty sure I've seen them at www.morebeer.com before.

More Beer has them: http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=16646
Never used them myself but know some folks who did and like them very
much.
