Going to brew a simple lager this weekend using about 1/3rd munich malt and
2/3rds pilsner malt. Generous late hopping with hallertau. hersbruker and a
bit of saaz (left over stuff again but has been stored well). I am bittering
with hop extract these days, adding it to the secondary with damn good
results.
What style would this beer fall in to?

Sounds a bit like a German Pilsner?

I was thinking the same thing. I like a nice hop flavor and aroma to my
German pils. Go for it, Steve -- it sounds tasty to me.

It's not really a pils with all that munich in it. In the end, I also added
200g of caramunich and done a short high thick mash (60 mins at 69°C) and a
2 x batch sparge. It's fairly dark. Maybe it'll turn out more of an
oberfest style with such a dextrinous malt profile.
