Ahh, it's "Steeped" and "Mashed" Had to poke through the XML to figure that out. mtbeedee@gmail.com wrote: > What does the S and M under fermentables stand for? > > Drew Avis wrote: > > Hello brewers, I am happy to announce that StrangeBrew 2.0.b7 (Java) is now > > available for download: http://sf.net/projects/strangebrew > > > > This is a Java version of the popular Windows brewing software, which can > > run on any platform that supports Java 1.4+ and Swing (Linux, MacOSX, > > Windows). The readme also provides some details: "- The Fermentables table now has indicators for "Steep" and "Mashed". A "Steeped" grain can be used in a partial mash or extract session by steeping in warm water - for example, crystal malt. Mashed malts must be mashed. If a fermentable is neither steeped nor mashed, it is considered a sugar, and is calculated as contributing 100% of its potential." As you probably noticed, the help doesn't cover this (yet). Drew
