Hello brewers, I am happy to announce that StrangeBrew 2.0.b7 (Java) is now
available for download: http://sf.net/projects/strangebrew

This is a Java version of the popular Windows brewing software, which can
run on any platform that supports Java 1.4+ and Swing (Linux, MacOSX,
Windows). It includes many of the features of the original, plus some new
ones, including:
- import of several popular recipe formats
- improved decion calculations
- support for cereal mash additions

If you're looking for brewing software, please check it out and feel free to
report bugs.

Drew

Ahh, it's "Steeped" and "Mashed"

Had to poke through the XML to figure that out.

The readme also provides some details:
"- The Fermentables table now has indicators for "Steep" and "Mashed". A
"Steeped" grain
can be used in a partial mash or extract session by steeping in warm
water - for example,
crystal malt. Mashed malts must be mashed. If a fermentable is neither
steeped nor
mashed, it is considered a sugar, and is calculated as contributing 100%
of its
potential."

As you probably noticed, the help doesn't cover this (yet).

Drew
