Subject: Sometimes things just work

This Saturday night I did indeed rack my brown ale to secondary. For
those who may not recall, I had some questions last week on whether or
not to skim the krausen; by Saturday most of it had fallen and I just
decided to leave the rest.

I racked into my freshly cleaned/sanitised 5 gallon carboy, figuring
that I'd bring it right up to the top of the shoulder to maximise my
yield and minimise airspace. I was able to do so, and then filled
the tube for the hydrometer from the siphon. Just as I completed
drawing this sample, the liquid ran out, so I had just enough with
no waste.

No particular questions here; just wanted to share.
