Subject: Removing odor from plastic fermenter

Hi,

I've just racked my first attempt at brewing into the secondary (5
gal. Better Bottle) After cleaning the fermenter pail with B-Brite mixed 1
TBS/gal I still get a strong hop odor from the pail. Is there anyway to
remove that smell? I'm afraid it will cause problems with future brews.

Thanks.

I've noticed a hoppy smell in my bucket as well. I leave the lid off when
storing, and the odor seems to dissipate.

1) it will disipate with time

2) it will be overwhelmed by the hops used in your next batch and will not
affect the taste or aroma of the beer.

If you want to speed up the process you can leave the fermenter out in the
sun for several hours.
