Subject: Recipe: Cinnamon Chocolate Porter


Here is one that will be good at the Holidays

Made this up today and it smells GRAND!

"BIG STASH" Cinnamon Porter

Crush and steep at 150' for 30 minutes
3/4 Lb Chocolate malt
1/2 Lb 90' Crystal malt
add
3.3 Lb amber extract (northwest)
3.3 Lb Gold extract (Briess)
1 Oz. pearl hops 6AA for 60 minutes
1/2 Oz. Willamette hops 4.6AA for 60 minutes
1 tsp Irish moss for 30 minutes
1 cup Hershey's cocoa powder for 5 minutes left
1/2 Oz. Willamette hops for 2 minutes
1+ Tbsp cracked Cassia cinnamon chunks (from the local spice store) for 2
minutes
Strain, cool, aerate and pitch
1 Pkg Safale "US 56" (red Pkg)
