I'm thinking of getting one of those soda making machines (that uses the Co2 cartridges). My question is this: Is it possible to take a beverage like say, fruit punch and simply carbonate it through one of these devices? Or do I need to buy all those special syrups? I've never owned a soda maker before, so I'm sorry if my question seems dumb, but I'd really like to know before I go and order one. Bryan

What specific soda-making machine are you looking at? If it is anything like the corny keg system, you can carbonate any liquid in it (including fruit juice).

I've done some looking around. Those old "soda syphons" (with the side attachment for Co2 cartridges) have been around for ages. It looks like that's the way to. I don't have room for a big keg setup in my place. Bryan

I bought an older "Soda King" without the manual. Bryan Lord
