Can someone put me onto the potential SG pppg for pumpkin? SRM too? I use
Libby's from a can (no preservatives). Thanks in advance!

I don't know. The only number I've seen is 20 ppg for pumpkin, but that
was just in an old thread on here. I have no idea if it's accurate.

I usually don't worry about it. I formulate the recipe without the
pumpkin, and then just add it and get whatever it gives me.

There is an all grain recipe in The Home Brewers Companion by Charlie
Papazian. It uses 11 lb of malt, mostly Pale, and it calls for 7-10
lb. of whole pumpkin. It gets roasted in the oven at 350(o) F for an
hour or so (until soft). The stats at the end of the recipe are BUs:
45-50; Color: 6-10L; OG: 1.066-1.070; and FG: 1.016-1.022. Hope this
helps.

I brewed this beer, it was one of the rare 5 gal batches that I was
glad to see the end of.
