I don't know. The only number I've seen is 20 ppg for pumpkin, but that was just in an old thread on here. I have no idea if it's accurate. I usually don't worry about it. I formulate the recipe without the pumpkin, and then just add it and get whatever it gives me. John.

There is an all grain recipe in The Home Brewers Companion by Charlie Papazian. It uses 11 lb of malt, mostly Pale, and it calls for 7-10 lb. of whole pumpkin. It gets roasted in the oven at 350(o) F for an hour or so (until soft). The stats at the end of the recipe are BUs: 45-50; Color: 6-10L; OG: 1.066-1.070; and FG: 1.016-1.022. Hope this helps. Mitch
