Curious how much folks here have "in the tank" at one time. Particulary
interested in any really large scale homebrewers.

I only have 6 carboys so the most I can do is 30 gallons, but I typically
never have more than 20.

Cheers!

I rarely have more than three beers fermenting at once,
and rarely less than three meads. My keg 'fridge can
handle four cornies, and I rarely have it full (like it
is now).

Right now I have 15 gallons on tap, 10 in secondary, 10 in primary, and
will brew 10 more next weekend. Not large scale, and not typical for me.
I had been out of it for a few years and am trying to get myself caught
up and stocked back up.

Right now I have only 2 carboys and 1 ferm bucket but I plan on expanding to
allow for at least 1 brew day a week doing 5 gallon batches and maybe go up
to 10 gallon batches. Any more than that I think the girlfriend would dump
me...lol.

Priorities: girlfriends can be replaced. There are an excess of women on
this planet due to the fact that men like to kill each other off.

While there is truth in your words,
- acquisition costs are high as finding a new girlfriend to
move in with you might cost you more than a ready-made 15
gallon home brewery; and,
- as we all know, not many women are gullible enough to put
up with us.

One ten gallon batch a week is a lot. Some of my big beers
have had three week ferments. So you are looking at four to
six primaries - two if you do not make big beers. Then you
are looking at storing 70 to 80 16oz bottles per 10 gallon
batch or two kegs. It adds up unless you are slugging it
down. LoL

The most I have ever done was 10 gallons in primary, 10 in secondary,
and 5 gallons of cider at once. I believe that was all my carboys.

Currently I've got 8 carboys, four 6.5 gallon primaries and four 5 gallon
secondaries. I've also got 20+ corny kegs. It's very rare that I have
all of the carboys full at the same time, unless I'm doing some meads which
I let ferment in a carboy for over a year. I don't think I've ever had all
of the kegs full.

I usually have 10 gals on the go at all times, after all, how much can you
drink before you have a problem?

I'd estimate about two gallons a day for a month

I find that swill drinkers are critics, i.e., too hoppy, too malty.

Unless I have had a recent party I typically have anywhere from 2 to 5 kegs
available at once. While these are available I always have something either
in Pri or Secondary awaiting keg space.

Of beer, I have about 2 gals left in a keg, 5 gals in a primary
and 5 gals in a secondary. Of Mead, I have 5 gals in long term
aging (= > 1 year), less than 2 gals available for consumption,
12 gals in secondaries, and 6 gals in a primary.

I have a small chest freezer for Summer beer fermentation. Later
this month it will get 10 gals of a Strong Ale and once that's
kegged, I'm going to brew 15 gals of that Arrogant Bastard Clone
us "Condescending Brew Guys" love.

Dick

P.S.: I thank whoever came up with the phrase "Condescending Brew Guy".
It means the same as "beer snob", but it has such a erudite ring to it
that only true beer snobs can appreciate.

When I am brewing, I typically keep somewhere between 12-27 gallons at any
given time; 3 kegs with between 0 and 5 gallons in each and 2 carboys with
beer at various stages in the process. Sometimes, I have a third carboy, but
that is usually only the case when I am short beer on tap.

Unfortunately, I have not brewed since before Christmas. I have been
distracted with other hobbies and haven't had the time to commit.

Well I made 40 gallons of Beer On National Homebrew Day. I just Kegged all
40 gallons (8 Cornies). Normally I do 10 gallon batches. By Summer I have
all my cornies filled (22). Oh yea, I have 25 Carboys. The rest is for
making Wine. Of the wine, I make 200 gallons. (the limit) per year.

I brew 5 gallons a week. One week in primary, one week in secondary,
then into kegs. So I always have one in primary and one in secondary. I
currently also have a cyser in secondary.

My roommate used to brew 5 gallons a week also, and at our peak, we had
six 5 gallon kegs in the freezerator with another eight kegs on deck. I
currently have six in the freezerator (including a cider and a root
beer). and four on deck.

I own two or three primary fermenting buckets, 4 glass carboy secondary
fermenters, and 16 or 18 corny kegs.

Honest, Mr. Revenuer...

I'd never excede the legal limit. Otherwise, I'd obtain a license & pay
taxes on what I brew (or go to jail and have all my stuff confiscated).

And besides, that'd make me look like one of them anti-government
lib3rals... "Make laws to protect every aspect of my way of life... just
don't enforce them on me!".

Had 45(uk) gallons a couple of weeks ago which went in a day for a
charity party that we hosted. Would have been 54 but a cask was lost
due to the recent warm weather causing a keystone to blow out leaking
beer all over the cellar floor.

We brew on a cobbled-together 9 gallon all-electric setup in our
kitchen.
