After finding an article on http://www.selfsufficientish.com/ regarding nettle beer I decided to give it a go. I boiled the mixture for half an hour, strained the liquid into a demi john, added 8grams of ginger and 250grams of demera sugar and pitched in some bread making yeast (I could have used brewing yeast, but I've never brewed with bread yeast, probably going to find out why very soon....) SG: 1.010 Fermentation started on Friday about midnight (three hours after pitching and temp had dropped to 25'C) and continued till sometime between monday- >wednesday. Not sure when as was in prague. The delicious smell of ginger seems to have gone and has been replaced by the tinge of yeastyness. So 6 days has gone past and the fermentation has finished. About to syphon into bottles and add 1/2 teaspoon of demera ready for secondary. Any tips?
