Subject: Need startre with White Labs Pitchable?

I just got back from the LHBS with all the items for my next batch. I
had planned to get a Wyeast1084 SmackPack and make a 1 litre starter. The
guy at the LHBS, Craig at BrewCraft in San Francisco, said he no longer
caries WYeast because the cell count is so low. He recommended a WhiteLabs
WLP004 Pitchable vial because it has a much greater cell count. This made
sense to me and he seemed to really know his stuff so I got the WhiteLabs.
Now, my question is, should I just pitch the WhiteLabs vial into my 5
gallon 1.061 sg batch, or should I make the starter as I had planned?
