What was your starting gravity? 1.001 (from the hops?

Eliminate the hops and you'll have Megaswill Light ;-)

Thanks for posting, that, Joel. I don't recall hearing from you before
and it's a very intersting supposition.

I compleltey agree! Not only is it an intersting, historical technique,
but only by actually doing it can people make up their own minds as to
its efficacy.

Does it really take eleven and half ounces of hops to ferment out two
ounces of hops? Sounds like overkill.

One professional brewer (De Dolle Brouwers) HAS already done a fermented
hopdrink. But I have NEVER heard about somebody trying to ferment WITH hops,
as you suggest...

He was poking fun at your typo:

"eleven and half ounces of >>>hops<<< to ferment out two ounces of hops"

It sounds like alchemy-- a yeast that will turn water
into booze.

That was just to make up for the fact that there's no sugar in the wort. If
you want to try and ferment hop water, I guess you need a lot of yeast. ;)

IMO, they either had some typos (and things missing) on the recipe, or else
they're just trolling.

Well, I do note that I forgot to mention the four pounds of
"Alexander's Sun Country Light Malt" in the brew! ;-)

Nah, that's fermented Fresca!

I'm also guessing you mean 11.5 grams of yeast?

As Ed M. used to say... "You are correct, sir!".
