Subject: My First Time

I just tasted my first batch of home brewed beer.
It was from a kit (Baron's Canadian Hi Test).
Being impatient - it was just a week after bottling (according to
directions I should wait another week).
Impressions Moderately "fizzy" (I chose the lower end of bottling sugar)
Very rich taste Much better than anything I can buy around here.
Will see how it is after another week.

Just another question ... Why am I in this hand basket and was that sign
saying Hull (Quebec)?

Did you use lager or ale yeast?

Congratulations!
Yes, a week is really not long enough, but I understand your impatience.
If you can wait that long, you'll probably find your beer's flavor
improved in another week - though I remember a Porter I made (a kit by
Dan Listermann) that I actually liked better while it was still "young".

The hand-basket ride is nothing to cause you undue concern, It happens
to all of us when we start brewing. Just ask the misguided troll who
occasionally posts psuedoreligious anti-drinking rants here... (grin)
