Well, I have been away for a while. It has been so long, not sure what
I posted under. John Mc or FamilySailor or something. Anyway I just
found access to this group through Google Groups. I don't really have a
good news server, well I don't have one configured anyway. Anybody know
of a better way to view this news group than Google Groups?

Hey Dick Adams I have been busy for a while. How are things going? I
finally won a Gold Medal in the Nationals this year, woohoo! How are
your meads going? Have you aged any over a month yet? lol

Brewin to the Max!

Congratulations! Which one won?

I have a Braggot that's aged a year, a Raspberry honey Mead that's
going to age at least a year, and an Orange Blossom honey Mead
that's 10 weeks old. And then there's a Wildflower Mead in diapers
that I am Quality Assurance Testing. I just can't drink as fast as
I brew.

Hey Dick,

The medal was in the AHA National Homebrew Competition in Florida this
year.
I sent in an Eisbock in the Bock category. I sent in my last few
bottles. I have one bottle of it left :^(

Well, it sounds like you are staying busy brewing. That is a good
thing. I have been trying to study up for the BJCP (Beer Judge
Certification Program) test, but I have too much going on. Don't know
if I will every feel ready to take the exam. My newest side track is a
podcast BrewCrAzY I just got online. If you want to check it out, you
can hear it at www.BrewCrAzY.com just download the MP3. It should be on
iTunes any time if I am lucky. The show is a little goofy, but Jamil
Zanisheff & Graham Sanders gave it the the thumbs up (they both have
shows also). So, I will trudge onward.. Anyway it is kinda fun :^)

I am brewing a "Belgian Wonder Brew" this weekend. Three of us are
bringing the ingredients to brew a 5 gallon all-grain (Belgian in
style). None of us know what the other are bringing. Then we are going
to combine it and brew a 15 gallon batch and each take their 5 gallons.
It should be fun. We all brew pretty good, so it should come out
drinkable..... I hope :^o

Just Brew is!
Johnny Mc

It's too hot for me to brew outside so I am waiting for ober
when I'll put up 30 gallons. I could never live in Texas because
of the heat and certainly not near you because of the humidity.

I did look at it - looks terrific. I'll start listening to the
podcasts when I finish the lists Susan gave me.

How large of a kettle do you have?

Well, my brew pot on my system is a converted 15.75 gallon keg. I had a
100 quart pot also, but a tree fell on it during hurricane Rita.
Katrina was the 6th strongest hurricane to hit the Gulf coast......
Rita was the 4th strongest......
