A fire wiped out about 4% of the US hops in the Yakima Valley in Washington
state.

I don't know about you folks... but our club was going to do a bulk buy next
week, wish it would have been last week. Wonder how the prices will change
due to this?

"Wonder how the prices will change due to this? "

It may depend on if you are buying whichever hops actually burned up.

I would guess that the hops which actually burned up would be pretty
cheap. I'm not sure why someone would want them though. ;)

I was at the fire that day and took a few pics with my cell phone. You

Caught this QUOTE from my local brew club:
"I spoke to Ralph Olson of Hop Union - one of the speakers at Dixie Cup this
year - the other day and he said the fire happened across the street from
their warehouses. He said they were the super alpha hops that were destined
for hop extract anyway, so no big loss for us anyway. He also said that
fires are not that unusuall, every hop dealer has had one..."

He intends to give us a full report on this and how it will affect us and
beer in general at Dixie Cup."
