Hello All Can anyone comment on the flavor and body contribution differences between flaked rye and rye malt? I'm gearing up to make another rye pale ale - I've been using flaked rye (my LHBS carries it) but I'm thinking of trying rye malt, just for yucks. How is it different? Thanks - JB

In the batches I have brewed, those with rye flakes had a fuller mouthfeel (similar to an oatmeal stout), and those brewed with rye malt were similar to wheat beers." >From HBD archives. Think I'll try the rye malt out.
