Denny, Your Give Rye a Try (BYO - May, 2004) article is great. Thanks. It was definetly a nice complement to the Dornbusch article in the same issue.. his German Roggenbiers all used a Bavarian Hefe type yeast, where your selection had a variety of basic styles + Rye. I'm still somewhat suprized that there is no Classic Style series on Rye/Roggen beers. Also annoyed that BYO doesn't just have all back issues on the website. I ended up using inter-library loan to get the article. I recently made a Pilsener type beer with 30% "7-grain cereal oatmeal", triticale, 3 types of wheat, rye, barley , and spelt. It has a nice snapiness at the end. Thanks
