Hi Francone

Sorry, I can't help with the malt mill other than recommending a UK
(where I'm from) home brew shop that may or may not ship to Italy - but
costs may not be any better than from the US for you.

It's great to hear that we have an Italian homebrewer in our midst.
You're probably going against a huge culture of wine in your country as
far as I'm aware (or is that just a bat stereotype on my part?), so
good to see an Italian interested in beer!

I'm interested to know what kinds of beers you like and what beers you
like to brew.

cheers,
Mark

If you have trouble buying one you could try making your own (or
getting one made for you).
I've seen plans but have no need for one as I live near a maltings who
will crush it for you.
Try searching in Google for 'homemade grain mill' or 'homemade malt
mill'.

Yes in italy the wine is always in the first place for
all, culture, production and consumption...but in the last year the beer
and the homebrewers is increasead a lot in number and quality.
I like to brew expecially scottish ale and belgian abbey.

I like wine very much, but I like beer too...but only the good ones...
Two years ago I was in Scotland, every where people have fantastic
beers,a lot of pubs made his own beer...like the wine in italy....
And I tell to myself"I have to learn homebrew because it's hard to find
a Scottish ale here in italy..."

And now I do my own beer, and it's a fantastic one eh eh eh

Sorry for my english!

Hi Francone

There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to enjoy both wine and
beer. The same rules apply to both I think - you get great, good and
mediacre beers, the same as wine.

In the UK, there is a real cultural and class divide between wine and
beer, but that is gradually beginning to change.

It's interesting that Belgians also like Scottish Ales. It seems that
anything malty, and not too hoppy is desirable.

In my experience, it's very difficult to get anything other than
"generic bottled lager" in some more wine dominated European countries,
so it's good to hear that some of you are looking to change that.

Good luck with your brewing, and I hope you find a way of getting your
malt mill.

btw, you English is fine!

Regards,
Mark
