I'm being sent to Jackson Hole, Wyoming next week (and I don't ski).
Any suggestions as to local brews or pubs?

Both of them also bottle their beers so you should be able to find them
in local liquer stores and bars. Was camping at Fremont lake near
Pinedale WY and was able to find bottled product from both Snake River
and Grand Teton at the local stores. Pinedale also has a local
brewpub, Bottom Up Brewery, which is about 77 miles south of Jackson.

Cool - thanks! I don't know if I'll have the opportunity to get to the
second, but I'll at least be able to try the first.

The Snake River Vienna is very good. I think I've got some in my fridge....
darnit, nope, fresh out.

The Grand Teton brews are alright, but I'm personally more impressed with
Snake River.

I can't attest to good or bad pubs, however when i was visiting,
huckleberry jams and candies were everywhere, so perhaps you could find
a good cheap source there. When i was there dandelions were growing
EVERYWHERE too, litterally thousands of them in small fields, now it is
likely way to cold.

Also you should go to the town square thing with the antlers, its not
great, but if your there you might as well see it. (Clint Eastwood was
in a movie in which his character and some guy fought their way through
parts of the city and park... can't remember what movie though)

Yellowstone and Grand Teton are beautiful, but IMHO they get real
boring real fast after seeing gysers and smelling hydrogen sulfide
everywhere.

Well, as it turns out, I didn't get to do *anything*. Shortly after
arriving, I contracted bronchitis. No trips around town, no beer,
no pubs. Feh. Hopefully I'll be recovered soon enough to be able
to start drinking again. I'm thirsty.
