Subject: Thinkness of Sanke Keg?

Does anybody know what the thickness is of the metal at the top of a Sanke keg? I cut a hole in the top of a keg (legally obtained from a local microbrewery!), and want to put some gasket material around it. Does anyone have a micrometer to get an accurate measurement? Thanks!

I measured 0.050" with a dial caliper.
