Subject: Kegerator Balancing & Leaking: Question
|
Bought a Kegerator from a yard sale last week. Seems beer is leaking from the keg, cant find a place where it's getting out of the keg. Only a bit of foam is protruding from the top. Also, I cant seem to get the keg carbonated correctly & the beer is about 90% foam. I've bought a new regulator, new beer line, new air line, new faucet... waiting for it in the mail.. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks. -Steven

Great links, I really appreciate it, I took the keg back and swapped it out. Also, bought a new regulator & new air/beer lines & a new faucet.. all seems to be going well now. I've got nice golden brown beer with about 1 inch head.. so.. I'm a happy man. Thanks for the links, and the math behind ballancing is fun... I'm a math guy. ;) > If your keg is foaming you may need to rebuild it or at the least reseal it. > Mike has some good stuff, about half way down for keg rebuildinghttp://www.ipass.net/mpdixon/ > If it's foaming at the tap you may need to balance your system.http://www.shagg.net/brewing/?p=10 or if you have to understand the math > behind it http://kegman.net/balance.html > > Mark R- Hide quoted text - > > - Show quoted text -

I'm a math guy. ;) No problemo. I keep a "beer stuff" document with about 50 or so good links to nice to know info. And I'm a math guy too. My favorite thing in highschool was to prove that 2=1. Several times I hid the divide by zero so well that the teacher couldn't find it. :-) Mark R
